A Television And Today's Technology

By Matthew Kerridge

People that are currently on the market for a new T. V. Are in luck because technology now have moved the television from dinosaur to state of the art entertainment. Since it's humble beginnings, technology has improved vastly and the quality of the pictures have also improved. Not only has technology improved, but prices have dropped. This is a good deal for everyone.

In the late eighteen hundreds, the television in various forms was being invented. In'29, the first real working model was invented in Germany with a digital scanner and the ability to pick up broadcast shows. In'36, the first Olympics Games from Germany were broadcast worldwide for viewers.

The first T. V.'s were black and white and the channel selection was few. However, today's technology has boosted televisions not only into color, but technology has given us other choices as well. T. V. Has added the joy of high definition and fantastic stereo capabilities.

Also, the size of the T. V. Has also changed. Once housed in huge box consoles, now available are plasma screen and flat screen panels that can even be hung on your wall like a piece of art. This can actually be made to look like a piece of art because you can play a video on your DVD player that flips through various art images. So you would have a forever changing piece of artwork in your home. Other options for creative images on your wall would be a fireplace image or perhaps an aquarium.

The capability to broadcast programs in a higher resolution is known as high definition. This HD option is readily available now and the picture is not only clearer and sharper, but it is more lifelike. Many programs on T. V. Now even offer HD but the only way to utilize this is with an HD T. V.

If you are limited in floor space in your home, or you are looking for something more modern, then the flat panel version that is wall mountable is a great option. This unit is hung on the wall with special brackets to ensure safety and basically looks like a large picture frame on your wall.

Available in all sizes, the television can be anywhere from palm sized to the monstrous T. V. Of one hundred ten inches and weighing in at seven hundred twenty eight pounds. The T. V. Also come kid specific. These units are made of vibrant plastics and can have various character designs on them.
