The Value of a Good Story in Video Games

By Edward Elric

One of the prime success quotients in any interesting computer game depends upon the game writing. Role playing games and personal shooter games are the two basic and most popular genres of computer games. In fact, some of the first video games ever made were shooters, as they were simple and easy to program.

The engine and the available weapons were previously considered to be the only driving forces behind making a game captivating enough. However, it is only the ones written with a certain flair that have a higher recurring value which accounts for their success.

There are several examples of games with great writing. Halo is a fine example, and it featured an important story that players could get in to. In addition, the character development was as meaningful as that of the story.

Game developers that refuse to acknowledge the importance of writing in video games are essentially doomed to fail. People have come to expect a certain amount of excitement in the stories of all games, and if a product does not deliver, the company behind it will not do well.

By giving a game a good storyline, you ensure that players will be more interested in it. Since the purpose of developing a game is to sell it, a company wants to do everything in its power to make it work.

Fitting a poor story into a hidden object or match-3 game is a very commonly found error, although players of these types of games often do not care too much about a story. On the other hand, it is advisable that for games which are even available for free, a certain amount of grey matter be put into them so as to make them believable.

However, a well written game does not instantly guarantee its success; likewise a poorly written one may not be an instant failure. Fans of well scripted games eagerly await a sequel, and this cannot be said for games that do not have a good story.

The best games are those that combine stunning graphics, amazing gameplay, and an engaging story together in the same package. While finding such a game is somewhat rare nowadays, it is definitely not impossible, and several games of this nature come out every year.

Remember that although the magazine you want to buy satisfies your needs, the seller may not do the same.

2.If you are really after savings, you need to work towards being a smart consumer. One skill of a smart consumer is the ability to look for affordable finds. Instead of buying the first one you see, search other reputable and well known sites that offer the same magazine for a more affordable price. Dont go for the cheap or the expensive one. Buy magazines that are more affordable and suit your budget.

3. Online magazine subscription sites reign supreme when it comes to discounts. Some of the reputable magazine subscription sites on the internet do not only give the best deals and efficient service to subscribers, but also discounts and perks. Pool Table Light: Makes You See Through The Game

By Pamela Smith

Ten years ago, pool or billiards was generally considered a game played in seedy under-lit pool halls infused in thick cigarette smoke with shady characters of all stripes betting on a languid parlor game. The movie, The Color of Money starring Tom Cruise and the late Paul Newman, whose role of a veteran pool shark won for him his only Academy acting award, confirmed in the mind of the public the dubious character of pool. It takes a lot of skill to play pool and in equal measure plenty of light to play it properly. Hence, pool table light is important in this game.

With its newfound respectability, pool is now featured in ESPN and the best players make hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes and more on product endorsements. If you do watch these games played on TV, you certainly noticed that the pool halls are very well lighted, which is similar to indoor basketball game at night.

A pool table light will serve to provide sufficient luminescence for the playing surface, the billiard balls, the cue stick, and everything involved in the game to be visible. They can also create an environment intensifying the playing experience and the surrounding adornments. Because of longstanding prejudices, many conceptualized that an old ceiling light fixture is adequate to illuminate the pool table and everything else on it.

But just liken in any work activity, a focused source of light along with the ambient lighting given off by flush-mount or semi-flush ceiling fixtures are needed. This will illuminate the playing surface better and maybe even improve play. The added balance to the subtle style of the decor is a bonus.

Direct and indirect lighting fixtures are no same matters entirely. When you play the game of pool, this needs utilization of direct luminescence. A blinding spotlight over the pool table is not necessary for this purpose, illumination on the playing surface that does not cause glare or eye strain is what is necessary.

Typical lightings such hanging lamps or pendants are most suitable for pool tables. With the basic design of pool tables being long and narrow, the lights must match the design. A billiard lamp as long as a billiard table is desired, but pool tables usually measuring eight feet long, is not practical. A small light fixture over a pool table light blends well in this part of the game.

Just be sure that the light is at the center over the table. Players want see clearly the corner pockets in this game of angles. Shadows that smaller pool table light fixtures cause affect the outcome of the game, besides producing a gloomy atmosphere that harks back to the seedy period of this sport.

How to Win At Progressive Jackpots

If you have been playing progressive games and losing more than you are winning, then you are justified in asking how to win at progressive jackpots. After all, it is not against the law of man and of nature to try to win big amounts through jackpots. With that said, here are the ways to win progressive jackpots. Just keep in mind that these are suggestions on winning only. Actually winning at progressive jackpots requires a combination of knowledge and of luck, just like in life.

Play the Slot Machines with the Best Payouts

This is a very obvious advice but one that must be emphasized as it is often overlooked by online casino players. You have to search for the slot machines with the biggest and the best payouts to win at progressive jackpots. Well, of course, you have to play the slots themselves to determine which one offers the best payouts. However, if you cannot bet too much of your money on this kind of betting, you can always access the online review sites that find the machines with the best payouts!

Often, too, you will discover through these websites that online casinos offer better payouts than their land-based counterparts. It must be because online casinos have lesser overhead expenses, not to mention that the competition is so tough that better promotions must be made to entice more and more players. Of course, when playing the slot machines with the best payouts, you must also find the online casinos that offer bonus plays.

Play When the Jackpot Is Sufficiently Big

Big is a relative term although a million dollars is definitely big enough. Anyways, to win at progressive jackpots, you must know how slot games work. You will realize that playing when the jackpot is sufficiently big will provide bigger chances of winning it simply because you already have an edge.

An edge means that, in the long run, you can reasonably expect to win money at the slots than what you have poured into them. Indeed, the concept of "overdue" is an outdated one that you must abandon now or abandon all hope of ever winning at progressive jackpots.

Play at Full Coins

This is the most important tip in winning at progressive jackpots. You can and will only win it if you are playing the maximum number of coins! As such, if you plan on being a thrifty gambler, then don't waste your money because you will be significantly lessening your chances at winning this game, probably reducing it to zero. Besides, even if you do win the progressive jackpot by some fluke of fate, you will be shortchanging the game and yourself. And what profitable good is there in that? However, before you play full coins, always remember to read the payout tables. You want to play the machine that will provide the biggest payout with the smallest investment.

On a last note, the ways on how to win at progressive jackpots will start and end on your good financial management. You must learn to walk away if and when your limits for losing and winning have been achieved even when the jackpot seems within your reach. Keep in mind that playing progressive jackpots over and over again is not something you want to do for the rest of your life.

Seattle Shuts Down Sloppy St. Louis

By Ross Everett

While the St. Louis Rams arent the toughest opponents the NFL can offer, the Seattle Seahawks played well on both offense and defense en route to a 28-0 opening game victory. Jim Mora made a successful debut as Seahawks coach and Matt Hasselbeck played his first regular season game since last Thanksgiving.

The Seahawks easily covered the spread as -7 home favorites. The ATS victory improved the Seahawks to 18-15 against the number in the past three years. The Rams dropped to a dismal 11-22 ATS in the past three years with a 9-20 mark as an underdog.

Mora is a native of the Seattle and once worked as a visiting locker room attendant for the Seahawks. The homecoming made the victory all the more enjoyable as he recounted afterwards:

"It was especially emotional for me, because there is some significance to it. I'd be lying if I told you there wasn't. It was kind of a surreal experience."

It was also the Seahawks first shutout in over two seasons, while the once high flying Rams were shut out for the first time since 1998. Linebacker Aaron Curry commented after the game that defensive tenacity and toughness are goals for the new look Seattle team:

"The whole offseason, they said our team was soft. We've got to change our image."

The Rams looked to be the same pitiful team that stumbled to a 2-14 record in 2008. It was hardly the debut that rookie head coach Steve Spagnuolo had hoped far as St. Louis gained only 247 yards and 13 first downs. It's never a good sign when players point to personal fouls as a positive, as Steven Jackson did in his postgame interviews:

"Would you rather us just get our tail kicked and walk back to the huddle? You saw some fight in this team."

The Rams looked sloppy and undisciplined throughout, amassing 10 penalties for 85 yards and having their only touchdown of the game negated due to too many men on the field. Clearly, the problems with the St. Louis team run much deeper than coaching.

The schedule wont get any easier for St. Louis, as they hit the road again this week to face the Washington Redskins. Theyll open their home season the following week against Green Bay before playing another road contest on October 4th against the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle will also play away from home this Sunday, heading down the coast to meet the resurgent San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks will host the Chicago Bears the following Sunday before a road game at Indianapolis on October 4th.

3 Reasons to Use Snake Proof Boots

By Harry Benjamin Watts

If snake protection is an issue, you should seriously consider a pair of snake proof boots. While hunters from swampy or marshy areas are probably already familiar with them, you might not know that snake boots are an option. Snake proof boots are designed by several different companies, but all of them are designed to protect you from getting bitten by any type of common venomous viper.

Snake proof boots might only be common to hunters and hikers at the moment, but they are made in styles that also make them attractive to other crowds. In fact, some snake boots look down right stylish while still offering the all important protection.

While this article only covers three great reasons for looking at the possibility of using snake proof boots, there are many others beyond this. Still, to keep things easy these three general reasons are ones that virtually any consumer can relate to.

The first reason should be obvious. These boots offer specially designed protection against venomous snake bites of all kinds. Whether it's rattlesnake, coral snake, copperhead, or water moccasin " snake proof boots are designed to keep them all away from your skin.

A second reason to consider snake boots might be surprising at first glance. The financial savings that this footwear can bring you is incredible. Consider that an ER visit to treat a venomous snake bite in the U.S. will cost you up to twenty grand. That's right, twenty grand. And that's only assuming that there are no complications, which in over half of the cases there are. Wearing a good pair of snake proof boots could prevent that type of traumatic physical and financial trauma.

The third and final reason to wear snake boots is for the confidence factor. Many people have a huge fear of snakes, but even these people can rest just a little easier when they know that they have full protection from the at least the knees down. By far and away most snake bites occur on the lower leg, and this protection can be priceless.

Hopefully this article has pointed out several good reasons for looking at snake boots. These points span a wide range of topics that include the physical, mental, and even the seemingly unlikely financial. When all these arguments are combined, it's pretty obvious that there is a very good case for the viability of wearing snake proof boots for the protection that they provide.

Snake proof boots are there for anyone to use who decides to do so. Whether or not you make that decision is entirely up to you, but at least you know what snake protection options are available.

Determining Which Fluid Head Tripod to Buy

By Hailey B. Catson

Tripods are considered one of the most practical photography accessories that you can own. Not only are they handy to have, compared to a lot of other equipment that you need, a tripod can be one of the most inexpensive tools that you purchase.

Not only will a tripod be used to take self portraits, but they are also used for long shutter shots. No matter how much stabilization your camera has built in, low light shots such as night photography will be much crisper with a tripod.

A tripod will also give you lots of wiggle room to play around with double exposures and timed exposures. Even if a regular photographer can make do without one, a videographer would most definitely have a difficult time without a tripod.

Any time that you're working with a heavier video camera, you want to make sure that you use a fluid head tripod. It's very important that you have a stable tripod for your video camera.

It wouldn't make a lot of sense to purchase a tripod that needed someone to stand there and support it! When you choose a fluid head tripod, it should have some very useful features. One of those is the height; height is an important factor because it could limit the photographer. You need to consider the subject that you'll be photographing or videoing.

Photographing stills such as food or small products will require a more compact tripod. This is the time when you will choose a solid tripod which is adjustable, or more compact.

The folded size of the tripod affects just how portable it actually is. For example, photographers and videographers must always think about how they will be traveling and what their actual means of transporation will be.

The material that the fluid head tripod is made of will contribute to the convenience and manageability. However, you must really focus on the stability and how much weight capacity the tripod has, over the lightweight features.

Manageable controls are very important when choosing a fluid head tripod. You need to be able to reach these when the camera is attached, and you need to also be conscious of the tilt and pan ranges. You should look for a leveling bubble, which is very important because you want to make sure that the picture isn't tilted - unless that's done on purpose, of course.

How to Win At a Series Slot

In an online casino, as it is in its land-based counterpart, the ability to win at a series slot is a highly admired and highly valued skill. After all, the payouts are very generous considering the small amount of investments that you pour into them. As such, you will be asking all and sundry how to win at a series shot with varying success. Well, let this article become your definitive although short guide to winning your next series of slot games.

Quit While You Are Ahead

You are probably asking why this advice should be first on the line. It is simple, really. When you have won a sufficient amount of money to make your clean profit, stop right there. You must not push your luck since you can lose everything including your initial investment at the next play. This also goes for losing. When you have lost all that you can lose, quit. You can always return tomorrow. Both of these situations will ensure that you still have money in your pockets to play another and yet another day.

And when you find yourself becoming more and more frustrated with the results of a particular slot machine, take a break and get some air. Keep in mind that playing the slot machines is a game of chance. As such, your luck may be off today. Maybe tomorrow it will come back so you can play then.

Learn to Read the Payout Schedules

This will take practice but when you do know how to read the payout schedules, you will be able to choose the slot machine with the biggest payout at the smallest possible investment. You can ask more experienced players and even the slot manager for tips on this aspect.

Use Your Cash, Not Your Credit

When starting to play the series slot machines, you must make it a habit, a good one at that, to only play from your first bankroll. Your credits must be left intact in your account. This is because you want to preserve as much profit as you can while rolling your first bankroll as much as possible.

Play the Maximum Bet

This is especially true for progressive jackpots. In order to win at this kind of game, you must play the maximum number of coins simply because this is the way that slot machines work. And speaking of progressive jackpot games, in order to win and win big at these games, you should play when the jackpot money is sufficiently big to justify your investment. Keep in mind that your investment may be bigger than a regular series slot machine but the payout is also bigger. This advice is strongly related to learning to read the payout schedules. You want to play maximum coins at the slot machine with the biggest payout, right?

In conclusion, learning how to win at a series shot involves plenty of hands-on experience, a little bit of research on the side and some luck at the slot machines. Sooner or later, you ought to be able to win a series slot game if and when you keep at it, within reasonable limits, of course.

Anderson Silva Dominant In UFC 101 Victory

By Ross Everett

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva had lost a lot of his luster coming into Saturday nights UFC 101 matchup with former light heavyweight champ Forrest Griffin. He was undefeated in his previous nine UFC contests, but his last three victories had been far from impressive. Even Dana White criticized his recent effort and finally conceded that St. Pierre might, indeed, be the best all around fighter in the game.

There was none of that on display at UFC 101. Silva was simply dominant as he overwhelmed the naturally larger Griffin, knocking his opponent down three times before finishing the fight with a spectacular"yet almost effortless"straight right hand.

The live crowd in Philadelphia clearly favored the likable Griffin and gave him a huge ovation as he bounced to the ring to his trademark walk-in song Shipping Up To Boston by the Dropkick Murphys. Silva, meanwhile, received a smattering of boos as he confidently strode to the cage. Silva displayed much more humility toward the fans than he has in his recent outings, bowing in all four directions after the entered the cage.

He displayed none of that courtesy toward Griffin once the fight began and was simply the wrecking machine that UFC fans had grown accustomed before his recent run of lackluster performances. Forrest came right at Silva, assuming that his natural size advantage would equate to a strength advantage as well.

The second knockdown clearly hurt Griffin, though he once again made it back to his feet quickly and landed a combination of his own. This was his best"and last"offense of the fight. Silva quickly floored Griffin with a left hand that left little doubt to the eventual outcome of the contest. The double tough Griffin made it to his feet again, and tried to land a leg kick"which Patrick Cote had used with some success in their fight.

Silva, backing up, countered it perfectly and landed an almost effortless straight right that sent Griffin down for good. The referee didnt even bother to count as he waved his arms over the prone fighter as Silva celebrated his win. Griffin quickly exited the cage and, reportedly, the arena. Postfight reports suggested that he wanted to get immediate medical attention for a dislocated jaw suffered on the penultimate knockdown.

Silva, apparently making an effort to be more fan friendly, did his postfight interview in English with a Portuguese interpreter standing at the ready. Hed been criticized in the past (somewhat unfairly) for not making more of an effort to engage the fans, and conducting his interview in English was likely intended to help change that image. His message was simple: I want to fight against the best. Whoever the best is at the time, I want to fight them. Though Silva didnt really affirm that hed be campaigning more at the heavier weight, that was the implicit message of his comment.

Which is Better: Insanity vs. P90X?

By Yasir Y Khan

That is the classic question. Which is better, Tony Horton and his new P90X system, or Shaun T and his truly daunting INSANITY workout? Both are touted as very intense, only for old and conditioned athletes. Both the products give you exceptional results if you follow their guidelines closely and use them the way they should be used. But how should you choose between the products? Do you feel like going for Tony Hortons 90 day body transformation, or Shaun Ts 60 day cardio madness? Is one of them simply better than the other? The answer, as you might have had a sneaking suspicion, is that it totally depends on your own fitness goals. In this article well take a look at what each program provides, and see which style of exercise suits your own personalized needs. Because while each is truly a challenging workout, theyre tough for their own particular reasons, and its important to know why before making a choice.

Lets start the argument from the beginning. Before looking at both the products, you need to think a little about yourself. What do you really want to accomplish from those products? What do you think are your fitness goals? Is your primary goal related to losing weight, or bulking up with some muscle? Do you enjoy extreme cardio, or simply hate it? What about free weights and doing pull ups? Of course in an ideal world you would be able to accomplish every fitness goal you could put on paper, but here you have to be realistic. What is your number one goal?

That determined, lets look at the programs. Shaun Ts INSANITY is so called because he strives to keep you in your anaerobic zone for extended periods of time while giving you short short breaks inbetween. INSANITY is all gut wrenching cardio, where you use your own weight as the primary form of resistance. But lets be clear: the key word up there was anaerobic. Shaun T doesnt want you to cruise through his workout at 65% effort, but rather 85% +. When exercising this hard you wont be getting enough oxygen to comfortably break down fat for energy as you would over the course of a 45 minute leisurely jog"youre forced to break down your own body tissue to keep going once youve exhausted your supply of blood sugar. Then, over the course of the rest of the day and that night your body will repair itself, resulting in more lean muscle tissue, greater health and less weight. But its hard. For this to work, you need to operate at 85% + effort level, which few people can do for more than six minutes. Shaun T will ask you to do so for thirty minutes to an hour. Can you handle that kind of cardio?

On the contrary, Tony Hortons P90X will challenge you in terms of strength training. While Tonys workout includes cardio and plyometrics (jump based routines), there is a strong focus on weight resistance training, from pull ups to free weights. Youll be breaking down the muscle tissue in the classic manner, which will not only help burn fat but result in muscle growth. You will not only fitter but stronger, and your appearance at the end of it will reflect that.

Finally you have the time consideration. INSANITY is 60 days. P90X is 90. How much are you willing to commit to one of these programs? Are you willing to go at it for the long haul, or do you want a shorter exercise period?

Extreme cardio versus strength training. Theres plenty of overlap, with both generating extreme body transformations if done correctly, but in the end its a matter of style and taste. Do you want to bulk up some while shedding weight and developing athletic potential? Then P90X is for you. Do you want to burn fat so fast it melts right off you, leaving you leaner and ripped as a result of tons of sweat drenching exercises? Then Shaun Ts INSANITY is just right for you. But remember: the most important part of this decision is not only knowing your own fitness goals, but undertaking either of these at-home workouts with utter dedication and awareness of your own bodys limits. If you do that, than both of them will give you the incredible results you desire.

Fall Fishing Tips and Techniques For The Texas Coast

By Captain Kyle Tomek

Days of fall approach with the first signs of fading leaves, dying wildflowers, and falling tides. Drift fishing during the season, however, becomes anything but dead. From the upper reaches of the Texas Coast to the shallows of the Lower Laguna Madre, fall reigns as one of the best times to focus fishing efforts to drifting for speckled trout and redfish.

Why is fall better for drifting than other seasons? Fall brings change ranging from cooling temperatures to dropping tides. Falling with the tides is migrating bait fish that have relaxed within protected backwaters and saltwater marsh all summer long. Trout and redfish gang up and attack the fleeing feasts-all within driftable waters.

Structures which attract fish are the place to be when specking for trout and redfish, according to Captain Cody Maddox who drifts along the drops and holes of the upper West Bay.

"When I say I fish holes within shell, I am drifting a seven-foot area surrounded by a three-foot depth," states Maddox. "The points of reefs and shell humps are additional fish magnets."

For his fall drift fishing, Maddox favors ? - 1/8 ounce riggings with soft plastic. When fishing deeper water, he tends to switch to a 3/8 oz head instead. A brown lures fan, Maddox says that he gets the best results with limetreuse, chartreuse and plum as well as with morning glory.

"I have found a little technique to really produce fish in fall," claims Maddox. "I'll work bait really fast above the bottom before letting it sit for several seconds." "If that doesn't work, I'll work it a little slower off the top off the shell, sometimes using a weedless-hook setup." Sometimes the slightest variation in retrieve unlocks the jaws.

Bastrop fishing guide, Captain Randall Groves prefers the fall season to drift fish than any other season. "It is all about working water streaks up here on the upper coast," states Groves. "When it gets really cold and the water gets clear, I do much better fishing muddy streaks rather than the clear water."

Captain Groves tends to focus on drifting areas with deep shell as well as muddy creeks and bayous. "I'll usually drift deeper shell areas in autumn, but when it gets windy I have good luck in creeks and bayous."

Focusing on retrieval is one of the fishing tips Groves offers. "You'll hear a lot of people saying you should use a soft plastic and fish slow in fall and winter, but personally, I haven't found slow to be the best approach. I look for a reactionary bite instead of a hungry bite. You can get results by going slow, but I always do best working my lures faster in cold water."

"I use ? and 3/8 oz lead heads with my soft plastics and use a Laguna Texas Wader III or another whippy rod to get my lures through water column with ease," says Groves.

Matagorda Bay guide Captain Dwayne Newburn offers the following fishing tips. "In fall, I use a trolling motor to control my drift When you're fishing around a group of gulls or other birds, your trolling motor can be a great help." In fall, you'll often find groups of gulls working groups of bait fish fleeing up to the surface to escape the redfish and speckled trout feeding below.

Captain Newburn is also a deep shell autumn angler, adding that he prefers to hit the dips and indentations of shell pads when drift fishing in the fall.

"Cajun Thunder Popping Corks above D.O.A. Shrimp work well when drifting. I also like Norton Sand Eel Jr.'s in laguna shrimp and Saltwater Assassins in native shrimp and new penny." Newburn rigs his soft plastics with 1/8 ounce jig heads in depths to five feet and uses ? ounce heads in deeper water.

Captain Danny Neu, a Lower Laguna Madre guide is an avid autumn fisher. "It's one of my favorite times to fish, especially for large speckled trout. The bait fish head out of the bays and there aren't as many of them around, so you've got to hug the shoreline for miles sometimes, but when you come on a cluster of them, you know for sure that you've got trout and redfish right there," say s Neu.

Neu suggests these fishing tips for a day of drifting in the autumn. "I'll start out early in the morning and begin by drifting some deeper waters while I check for bait fish. When it gets near to noon and the sun starts warming the shallows, I move there to drift once the bait fish move to these warmer waters."

"As far as brown lures for fishing in colder weather, my number one choice is topwater plugs. In the autumn, you can throw these out all day and catch trout and redfish. It just plain works," Neu says.

Neu throws smaller plugs like the super spook jr. on the lower coast. "I like to keep one rod rigged with a super spook jr. and the other rigged with a soft plastic." When throwing soft plastics, red and white Brown Lures is his personal favorite.

Six Pack Abs For Women Explained

By Anna King

Occasionally women are portrayed as vain creatures as they constantly draw attention to their looks however you see, there is nothing improper with wishing for such a thing. Because you are curious and in search of the way of attaining it is adequate to think one self a health conscious person. Six pack abs are not only for the men and now, women are just as capable to strive to get a curvaceous body as well as a visible abdomen. But, are these women doing this the right way? Let us find out.

The Main Reasons for which Women should be careful with Ripping their Abs: As it goes, health is typically one of the more precious aspects in an individual's existence and with its degradation begins several other severe conditions that might stop a person from living the greatest from their lifetime. Starting a workout regiment that aims at defining your abs is a brilliant idea, however, there are a few disadvantages. If it's truly among the most serious goals ever, it matters that utmost care must be practiced so take a look at the advice following.

Ripping the abdominal muscles heavily might affect the hormones and sure enough that means a negative effect so it further shows it might not be the best fitness goal for most women. A low percentage of body fat isn't good for the body and another reason is to do with the distraction that the accomplishment of this objective might develop in the person. Of course, a person's wish for excellence especially as it has something to do with looks might be the first step on the road to low self-pride.

Going Further within the Side Effects of Excessive Abs Exercise: By and large, a woman who dreams of having flat abs means that she'll have to maintain fat of below eighteen percent though some women even settle for 12 percent fat. The critical part is the fact that the body requires a specific quantity of fat so it will work properly therefore if there is a very low level of body fat, the tendency is for their sexual hormones to be interfered with. Unnecessary exercise often end in hazardous health issues which females could encounter.

The term amenorrhea is the health condition that develops as a result of the intense workout routine that a woman does as her body fat level has plummeted. This condition refers to the halt in the menstrual cycle which is often related to the stress fractures, less bone density, and worse, infertility. A lot of women usually find it hard to conceive simply because the body fat is lower than the normal amount therefore in the attempt to flatten the stomach, an individual's health is endangered.

Another more harsh effect which it could introduce has something to do with the mental health. The pressure that accompanies the idea and effort of looking sexually attractive usually puts the person through hell. In most cases, women end up suffering from reduced self-esteem and various related problems since it needs to be understood that women are usually too sensitive about their self image. More than being material, it follows that a cautioned routine of consuming healthful foods and balancing the need to exercise ought to be considered.

Healthy Exercising With The Aid Of A Stopwatch

By Oliver Richard

Using stopwatches for a healthy exercise is a great idea. It doesn't matter if you're doing running exercises of 10 to five minute miles because every workout and progress you do is recorded with precise pacing and timing. If you want to know more about how to use a stopwatch for your exercise regimens, then keep reading.

There are a lot of features and functions to every stopwatch. However, the most important one happens to be the ability and capacity to be able to store a good enough amount of data so as to be able to access it in future workouts for reference. Everyone knows that it's a huge advantage for an athlete to be able to monitor the speed and distance time during every competition event or training. Think of the memory function as a way to constantly remind yourself of your pace and progress while consulting your cumulative training sessions.

When you are exercising, with losing body fat as the main objective, a stopwatch is a useful device. Usually the intensity levels are the aim of these body weight workout routines such as boxing, running, weight lifting and swimming. During these exerting regimens, picking up the pace is what most people think.

An important reason why a stopwatch is so useful is that the timer, during intense workouts, helps the athlete to gauge himself in the intensity of his workouts since usually they don't realize how long they have been doing them. Problems can occur when they underestimate their workout and here is where the stopwatch is a useful friend.

With a stopwatch you will also know just how long you need for an aerobic workout and also how long you need to rest between exercises. Since rest is an important part of any exercise program it is beneficial to have the help of a stopwatch so that you know what you need. Many make the mistake of thinking that after drinking some water it is alright to continue with a high intensity workout, but this is wrong and without rest you are not working out effectively.

Burning off body fat will require a lot of abs exercises, such as planks or pull ups. Timing the intensity level with a stopwatch will help you to increase the benefits of those exercises. For example, you can use the stopwatch to time a minute of an abs exercise and then for timing a minute of rest before the process is repeated.

For sprinting exercises a piece of advice is to try the one minute of running and then resting for one minute for let's say ten times. You will see in the end that you maybe will sweat more but maintain stamina so you can keep on.

Using stopwatches to better evaluate your exercises for health and fitness is a very good idea indeed. But of course, it all boils down to how fit you really are. If you're a beginner, try increasing the timer in the stopwatch. Always remember to mark your pace and progress every time. Experiment with various times and accelerate your intensity levels slowly with the help of a stopwatch. Just, make sure your rest times are nearly equal to that of your workout times.

Everquest 2 Platinum- Marketing In The Internet Age-Using The Internet's Viral Nature To Turn A Profit

By Amber Jeffery

Online role-playing games (RPG's) have enjoyed great popularity in recent years. Unlike pencil-and-paper RPG's, which were mainly popular with teenagers, these games are generally played by adults. In fact, it is not uncommon for one half of a couple to complain that the other half spends more time playing the game than with his/her romantic partner!

Why are online RPG's so popular with young adults? Let's look at one such game, Everquest 2, for some answers.

In Everquest 2, one of the most popular online games, players create characters, endow them with magical or other powers, and band together with other players to succeed at magical quests. The game is free to play; however, players who want to advance more rapidly in the game can buy fake cash, called Everquest Platinum, which is then used to purchase equipment and attributes in the game.

The popularity of Everquest 2 Platinum--players are willing to pay over 1 dollar in US money for each virtual dollar of Platinum--demonstrates two principles that those people working on fixing our economy should take into account. First, people are willing to pay extra money in order to get their needs met, especially needs involving pleasure or fun. This is above all true for all young adults.

The social aspects of the game, combined with the nature of the Internet, also contribute to its popularity for another reason. The Internet is a viral instrument; that is, word-of-mouth quickly reaches a lot of users. When someone is enjoying a game like Everquest 2, they might post about it on a social networking site or mention it in an email. Other people therefore quickly learn about the game and decide to try it out as well. Those people, in turn, mention the game to their friends, who start playing as well.

As this example illustrates, it is easy to create demand for a product over the Internet by taking advantage of viral marketing techniques. Knowledge of other marketing techniques often helps, and marketers should make sure their product fulfils a significant need. By following simple marketing principles, entrepreneurs can easily turn a profit in the Internet age.

Important Tips To Remember When Buying A Second Hand Travel Trailers.

By Troy Faithful

Traveling is a lot of fun, but sometimes hunting a good spot to spend the night or looking for a hotel can be tedious. It would be so easy if you could carry your home along with you. That is exactly what a travel trailer is meant for. It allows you to stay wherever you like, live in those beautiful places for sometime and have everything you need while you stay there. You can go off the road whenever you want to and not have to wait till you see a hotel.

When the time came for our next trip, both of us were really excited and we thought that we could rent a trailer; but it was way too expensive for us. The idea of buying a new one was also ruled out as even that option did not suit our budget. That is when the same friend told us that that the best thing we could think of next was to buy a second hand trailer and if we did our home work right that would be the best probable bet.

The new ones are way too expensive. My friend said that buying a used travel trailer taking a few precautions would be the clever thing to do.

Once you find someone who is willing to sell it ask about the number of years that it was used and the time when it was bought and how many times it had been used. Ask about the repairs that had been made on the trailer. Ask about the weight of the trailer before you go to get it.

First, you should make sure that the breaks and the tires are in a good condition. Trailers are used to travel for holidays and this means highways and long distances. So be sure that the tires and brakes are in a good condition. Make sure you always have a spare tire. Then check the floor, if it is in a good condition or if it looks like it needs to be repaired. Make sure the bathroom is in a good condition and that there are no water leakages anywhere in the trailer. Check for gas leaks also and make sure there are none.

We had to make sure that the on of the battery was in working condition that and there were no leak. The tyres including the spare tyre had to be checked and we had to make sure they were safe to use on highways. The brakes and brake lights should also be in good order. We also had to ensure that both the indicators were working properly and all the doors and windows opened and closed right.

Now that was a big check list but once we checked all this, he said we could buy the trailer. This would save us big money!!

Solutions to Knee Pain and Loss of Function in the Knee

By Dr. Stefan Tarlow

Knee pain is usually caused by arthritis. There are three common types of arthritis: rheumatoid, traumatic, and osteoarthritis.

Traumatic Arthritis: Injury causes traumatic arthritis. A fractured knee or torn ligaments cause excessive wear and tear on the knee causing the articular cartilage to break down. This painful condition can only become worse with the passage of time.

If the synovial membrane of the knee produces too much synovial fluid, it will over-fill the joint space. The fluid will thicken and become inflamed, and it will damage the knees cartilage. This will cause stiffness and pain and a breakdown of the cartilage. This is rheumatoid arthritis.

If the cushion of cartilage in the knee wears out, it leaves the bones to grind against each other. This extremely painful condition is known as osteoarthritis. It is usually a problem for people over fifty years old, especially those who have a history of osteoarthritis in the family.

Total knee replacement is often the best choice for the following reasons:

You have tried everything and nothing else works. If you have done exercises, physical therapy, cortisone injections, and even lesser types of surgery without relief, it is time to try total knee replacement.

Inability to Perform Activities of Daily Living: Problems sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, getting in and out of a car, or problems with other common everyday activities indicate a need for total knee replacement surgery. Reliance on an assistive device such as a walker or cane is also an indication.

You need total knee replacement surgery if:

Joint stiffness that prevents you from flexing your knee comfortably.

Your knee hurts even when you are resting it.

Bowing or other deformity of the knee(s).

Your aspirin or ibuprofen dont work any more. Understand that these medications are good for early symptoms, but as your pain worsens, they cant keep up.

Your knee continues to be swollen, red and painful, even after you have taken medication and rested it.

It is important to realize that the effectiveness of medications may vary widely from patient to patient. The more severe your arthritis, the less effective medications will be. Over time, you may build up a tolerance to medications that prevents them from being effective, or you may develop complications that prevent you from being able to use them at all.
