Suicide Kings: A group of desperate kids kidnap a slick underworld mob boss and keep him prisoner to boost leverage in the kidnapping of Thomas' sibling. Although throughout one long day, the mobster Walken, in fine form measures up his captors and plays on their weaknesses. Well planned piece, with some excellent tale twists and first-rate acting jobs. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Denis Leary, Henry Thomas, Sean Patrick Flanery, Laura San Giacomo, and Brad Garrett. Catch Me If You Can: This movie tells the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., who was a master con man. By the time he was 21 years old, he had been a doctor, a co-pilot for a major airline, and a lawyer. Check fraud is where he excelled the most, and he had swindled companies out of millions with this skill. F.B.I. agent Carl Hanratty becomes obsessed with finding and capturing Frank.
The Indian in the Cupboard: A boy (Scardino) acquires an old chest as a birthday present, and finds that while he sets a toy Indian inside and turns the key, the Indian comes to life. Then he sees that the Indian is not a toy, however a genuine individual. Problems follow, particularly while his best buddy summons to life a toy cowboy. Cast includes Hal Scardino, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Jenkins, Rishi Bhat, and Nestor Serrano. (96 minutes, 1995)
Sentimental Journey: Maudlin yam of dying actress O'Hara adopting a small child to give spouse Payne a friend while she is gone; no holds barred here. Movie was redone as "The Present of Love" and for a 1984 Television film. Cast includes John Payne, Maureen O'Hara, William Bendix, Cedric Hardwicke, Glenn Langan, Mischa Auer, and Connie Marshall.
