Staircase: Stun value of Burton and Harrison as a gay couple was all this film had going for it in 1969, and nothing has changed as long as then, with the exception of increased viewer interest. Dudley Moore configured the score. Cast includes Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Cathleen Nesbitt, and Beatrix Lehmann. (100 minutes, 1969)
The Crush: Ludicrous thriller in reference to a twenty-something year old reporter Elwes who becomes the target of a pretty, compulsive fourteen-year-old Lolita Silverstone. The young reporter soon sees that the young girl has a crush on him. Cast includes Cary Elwes, Alicia Silverstone, Jennifer Rubin, Amber Benson, Kurtwood Smith, and Gwyneth Walsh. (89 minutes, 1993)
Dinosaur: Disney tale of a dinosaur brought up by a family of lemurs. A meteor strike on the Earth presents her with other dangers. Cast includes Ossie Davis, Max Casella, Hayden Panettiere, Samuel E Wright, Julianna Margulies, Peter Siragusa, and Joan Plowright. (82 minutes, 2000)
Lawyer Man: Powell is aces in this entertaining drama as an ambitious attorney, with an eye for the chicks, who tangles with crooked congressmen. Blondell is his dependable, lovesick secretary. Powell even talks Yiddish in this one. Cast includes William Powell, Joan Blondell, Claire Dodd, Sheila Terry, Alan Dinehart, David Landau, Roscoe Karns, and Sterling Holloway. (72 minutes, 1932)
Like Father Like Son: A heart surgeon unintentionally sprinkles an old Indian potion into his Bloody Mary and presto, he and his young child have switched identities. Cast includes Dudley Moore, Kirk Cameron, Margaret Colin, Catherine Hicks, Patrick O'Neal, and Sean Astin. (98 minutes, 1987)
Tet Paisan: Early Rossellini classic, largely improvised by a mainly non professional cast. 6 vignettes portray life in Italy throughout WW2. The best has an American nurse looking for her lover in the rubble of Florence. Payday: Acerbic, vibrant picture of life on the concert trail with a cocky, selfish country and western music megastar, a jerk who calls on his supervisor to "fix" some complications that crop up during the concert tour. One of those prototypical early1970s films that makes modern American movie theater come across bland. Cast includes Rip Torn, Anna Capri, Cliff Emmich, and Michael C. Gwynne. (103 minutes, 1973)
