By Leslie Wilkenson

For those that love sports, there are many of them out there to choose from. If you want to engage in a sport that teaches you survival, then you may want to get into paintball, which is growing in popularity fast. But before you are able to engage in the sport of paintball, you must first select the appropriate equipment.

If you didn't have a paintball gun, then the sport would be pretty hard to play. The paintball gun is what will help you win the game, and if you are new to this sport, then choosing one that is perfect for you can be a hard and tedious task. I am going to go over some useful tips that can hopefully point you in the right direction.

The first thing you are probably wondering is how much is a paint ball gun going to cost me. Like with everything else, you get what you pay for. You can get a decent one that will get the job done for around 100 bucks. If you are a serious paintball player, there are paintball guns that will go for over a grand.

The smart thing to do, would be to test all types of guns before buying one. He may want to try those that he has borrowed or rented which will give him the chance to choose which a gun that works for him. The paintball gun should provide ease of use and comfort for the user.

The next thing that you should look for in a paintball gun would be the size of the paintball gun, and you must also take into consideration the size of the tanks and loaders. If you are a small person then you should get a small gun, while if you are strong and big, you could handle a heavier gun.

The buyer should look around first before deciding on a particular paintball gun. This will give him the chance to evaluate and compare prices. Some shops offer lower prices than other shops, so do some research and purchase the one that fits your needs and pocketbook.

One way that you can research paintball guns is by word of mouth, paintball forums, or if you know anyone personally that plays paintball on a regular basis. If there is a paintball league, or shop by where you live, I am sure that the people that work there will have plenty of valuable information for you.

As soon as you are finished choosing the right paintball gun, you must familiarize yourself with the machine. Practicing with the paintball gun will help you move with the gun as well as apply some strategies for using the gun.
