If you are looking for some ATV action in the state of Colorado, then you might find yourself having hard time picking a trail. Colorado has a lot of dirt trails that really provide ATV enthusiasts with the ultimate thrills riding a quad bike can give. Aside from the rush, Colorado's ATV trails also treat quad bikers to majestic sceneries.

The Keystone area is a great place to start if you are in Colorado. The place has fantastic trails that includes the well-known Red Cone/Webster Pass. Another great trail, the Radical Hill, is also worth a try. Linked to the Red Cone trail, Radical Hill is the place to be if you want some ATV fun on elevated grounds. Radical Hill peaks at an elevation of 12,801 above sea level, so jetting is really a must. The Vail route is also worth a nod.

The Northern Crested Butte Area is the home to the Slate Pass and Gothic Roads. These two trails are the perfect place for ATV novices to hone their skills and get some vibe of the tougher trails ahead. These area trails also has some beautiful backcountry scenes along the way. However, if action is what you are after, check the Gunsight Pass, Schofield Pass, and Crystal River. These trails are tough and rough, no doubt. And they attract a lot of ATV riders because of the challenging terrain.

The St. Mary's Glacier is a nice place for advanced ATV riders. With two trails snaking around the glacier, ATV riders will find themselves totally challenged with the St. Mary's terrain. Stretching for miles and miles, rides can also check the Empire trail, which is connected to St. Mary's and have a great day roughing it out.

Texas Creek is another ATV trail worth your time and effort. Located in Central Colorado and running alongside the Arkansas River, this trail is smacked in the desert mountain. That said, you better be ready for some heat as the temperature there is relatively high. Jetting is also a must, since the trail summits at 9,000 feet above sea level.

The Eastern Crested Butte area is where the most difficult ATV trails in Colorado can be found. The Pearl Pass followed by Taylor Pass and Italian Creek Road are known for their very challenging terrains, which are difficult to surmount. These trails connect to become a loop and offer a great views along the way. However, novices are not recommended to try this area unless they have the experience needed to conquer Eastern Crested Butte. The Eastern Crested Butte can also be accessed from the Aspen road.
